Lotta Geffenblad
She was born in 1962 in Lund. She grew up in Teckomatorp but moved to Stockholm in 1982 to study at Beckman’s School of Art and Design. After graduation Lotta’s interest in illustration led her towards animation and she has mainly worked on animated films since then. Over the years she have produced and illustrated many short films, often in collaboration with other animators and visual artists, such as Gun Jacobson, Eva Lindström, Anna Höglund, Hakan Wennstrom and Ulla-Carin Grafstöm.
The sequence of BJÖRNES MAGAZINE is probably the best known of all the films. Other movie titles are VINGA ASTRAY, GOOD MORNING GERDA CUCKOO, SLOPE, PANCAKE, WHEN WE DIE. Collaboration with her husband Uzi led to, among other things, the multi-award winning animation film APRICOTS and the 46-minute long children’s film AMONG THE THORNS witch took almost seven years to complete. Lotta lectures at various animation schools. For many years she worked for the magazine Conti, where she had her own regular series published. She has also designed the look of the characters in the animated television series CREEP SCHOOL and made props and masks for numerous dance and theater performances.

Lotta Geffenblad
Nata nel 1962 a Lund. È cresciuta a Teckomatorp ma si trasferisce a Stoccolma nel 1982 per studiare alla Scuola di Arte e Design Beckman. Dopo la laurea, l’interesse di Lotta per l’illustrazione la conduce all’animazione e da allora ha lavorato principalmente nel cinema d'animazione. Nel corso degli anni ha prodotto e illustrato molti cortometraggi, spesso in collaborazione con altri animatori e artisti, come Gun Jacobson, Eva Lindström, Anna Höglund, Hakan Wennstrom e Ulla-Carin Grafstöm. La sequenza di BJÖRNES MAGAZINE è probabilmente il più noto di tutti i suoi film. Altri suoi titoli sono VINGA ASTRAY, GOOD MORNING GERDA CUCKOO, SLOPE, PANCAKE, WHEN WE DIE. La collaborazione con il marito Uzi ha condotto, tra le altre cose, al pluripremiato film d'animazione APRICOTS e al film per bambini di 46 minuti AMONG THE THORNS  che ha richiesto circa 7 anni di produzione. Lotta insegna in diverse scuole di animazione. Per molti anni ha lavorato per la rivista "Conti", dove pubblicava regolarmente una sua serie. Ha anche progettato il look dei personaggi della serie televisiva animata CREEP SCHOOL e crea oggetti di scena e maschere per performance di danza e spettacoli teatrali.

Uzi Geffenblad
Musician, composer, screenwriter, director and producer. He also has been studying Psychology and Children’s Culture at the Stockholm University. In the early 80’s he worked as a classical French horn player in orchestras and theaters. Since 1988 he is working with films and since 1991 mainly with animation. Uzi has also worked as a sound engineer in film and radio productions. 1998-2001 Uzi was elected as Chairman of FFAF (The Swedish Association for Animated Films). He’s occasionally lecturing about screenplay, sound and production of animation in various schools in Sweden. Uzi has been mainly collaborating with Lotta Geffenblad but has also been working with other filmmakers. To mention a few – as a producer and editor on WHEN WE DIE, by Håkan Wennström and THE CAKE by Pia Holmqvist, and as a producer and sound engineer on the animated documentary RADICALIZED by Klara Swantesson. Together with Lotta he’s directed AMONG THE THORNS the short animations APRICOTS, ASTONS STONES, SPOT AND SPLODGE and ASTON'S PRESENTS.

Uzi Geffenblad
Musicista, compositore, sceneggiatore, regista e produttore. Ha studiato psicologia e cultura per l'infanzia presso l'Università di Stoccolma. Nei primi anni '80 ha lavorato come musicista di corno classico francese in orchestre e teatri. Dal 1988 lavora per il cinema e dal 1991 soprattutto con l'animazione. Uzi ha anche lavorato come ingegnere del suono in film e produzioni radio. Dal 1998 al 2001 è stato Presidente del FFAF (Associazione Svedese per il cinema d'animazione). Occasionalmente tiene lezioni sulla sceneggiatura, il suono e la produzione di animazione in diverse scuole in Svezia. Uzi collabora soprattutto con Lotta Geffenblad ma ha anche lavorato con altri registi. Per citarne solo alcuni: come produttore e montatore in WHEN WE DIE di Håkan Wennström e per THE CAKE di Pia Holmqvist, e come produttore e ingegnere del suono per il documentario animato RADICALIZED di Klara Swantesson. Insieme a Lotta ha diretto AMONG THE THORNS, e i cortometraggi APRICOTS, ASTON'S STONES, SPOT AND SPLODGE and ASTON'S PRESENTS.
