Synopsis
2026, ten years since the Simian Flu wiped out most of humanity. Deep in the woods outside of San Francisco, Caesar and his primate companions have established a village built on the principles of peace and community. One day Caesar's son Blue Eyes is walking through the forest with his friend Ash when they cross paths with a human named Carver, who impulsively shoots Ash at the first sign of aggression. Carver is part of a human expedition led by Malcolm. An enraged Caesar drives the humans away after realizing they are no longer a threat, and decides to dispatch a small crew to follow them, rather than to launch an attack as suggested by his aggressive advisor Koba.

Matt Reeves
Reeves debuted in 1997 with the comedy THE PALLBEARER with Gwyneth Paltrow and David Schwimmer. He wrote, with Richard Hatem, the action movie UNDERSIEGE 2: DARK TERRITORY and, with James Gray, THE YARDS. In 2007 he directed, for Paramount, CLOVERFIELD. In 2010 he signed LET ME IN, the US remake of a Swedish movie. In 2012 he directed for 20th Century Fox APES REVOLUTION. He is well-known to the general public to be the creator, along with J.J. Abrams, of the TV series FELICITY. He also produced and directed some of the episodes.
