Synopsis

Koos, a little boy of almost eight, very much wants to look like his big and blond, typically Dutch father, which is not an easy thing, as Koos has been adopted from Peru and is rather small and of dark complexion. Lately Koos finds out that his mother is expecting a baby: his parents pay less attention to him, and Koos worries that they won’t love him as much as their own new baby. One day Koos sees a Peruvian boy named Illari playing a strange kind of music outside the supermarket and discovers that he, like the boy, is an Indian and a descendant of the Inca people. From that day on, despite his Dutch parents, Koos becomes determined to embrace his roots, in order to find out who he really is and where he comes from.

Sinossi

Koos ha quasi 8 anni e vorrebbe tanto somigliare al suo papà, dalle fattezze tipicamente olandesi, alto e biondo, ma la cosa non è affatto facile, poiché Koos è stato adottato dal Perù, è piccolo e di carnagione scura. Quando Koos scopre che sua madre aspetta un bambino, inizia a preoccuparsi: si accorge che i suoi genitori gli dedicano meno attenzioni, e teme che sarà amato meno del figlio che sta arrivando. Un giorno, dinanzi a un supermercato, Koos vede un ragazzo peruviano più grande di lui, di nome Illari, suonare una strana musica. Così Koos viene a sapere che, come quel ragazzo, ha origini indiane e discende dal popolo Inca. Da quel giorno, nonostante i suoi genitori olandesi, Koos scopre il desiderio di conoscere le sue radici e la sua vera identità, da dove viene e chi è realmente.
