SAMMY’S ADVENTURES is the story of a sea turtle from hatchling to maturity, from 1959 to today. As he scrambles to the sea shortly after his birth on a beach in California, Sammy the sea turtle finds and loses the love of his life, a pretty hatchling called Shelly. On the epic journey across the oceans that all turtles accomplish before returning to the beach where they were born, Sammy dodges every danger in the hope of meeting Shelly again. With best buddy Ray, he sees close up how humans are hurting the planet. But then he is rescued by other humans. He battles with piranhas, escapes a fish eagle and searches for a mysterious secret passage. And, one day, after all his adventures and close shaves, Sammy finds Shelly. She has never forgotten him either…

LE AVVENTURE DI SAMMY è la storia di una tartaruga marina dalla nascita alla maturità, dal 1959 a oggi. Avanzando verso il mare poco dopo esser nato su una spiaggia della California, il cucciolo di tartaruga Sammy trova e un attimo dopo perde l’amore della sua vita, una piccola e graziosa tartaruga di nome Shelly. Nel corso dell’epico viaggio attraverso gli oceani che tutte le tartarughe compiono prima di tornare sulla spiaggia dove sono nate, Sammy affronta ogni tipo di pericolo nella speranza di ritrovare Shelly. Insieme a Ray, il suo migliore amico, Sammy scopre come gli esseri umani stiano maltrattando il pianeta; tuttavia, a un certo punto saranno proprio degli esseri umani a salvarlo. Sammy lotta contro i piranha, scappa da un’aquila pescatrice, va alla ricerca di un misterioso passaggio segreto. E un giorno, dopo aver vissuto tante avventure, Sammy ritrova Shelly.
