Born in Coimbra, Portugal, in 1969. She graduated from the Oporto University of Fine Arts. In 1992, she began working at Filmógrafo as an animator. In 1999, she animated and directed her first film, "A Noite", made by engraving plaster plates, and in 2005 her second short animation film "Tragic Story with a Happy Ending". Both were screened and awarded in several international festivals. Her short film "Kali the Little Vampire" was screened in Giffoni in 2013. "Tio Tomas", her most recent work, was awarded at the 2019 Annecy Festival.
