James wakes up at night in the grip of nightmares. Memories of war, of the dead, of the many battles fought in the Pacific during the Second World War. He is six years old and was born in '96. And yet those memories are his. “Anne” is a short film inspired by the true story of James Leininger, an American child who, from an early age, has shown that he has memories of a past life.

Stefano Malchiodi was born in Seriate (Bergamo) in 1991. When he finished high school, he attended a film production course at the Civic School of Cinema Luchino Visconti in Milan, where he graduated in the summer of 2014 with a thesis on independent cinema. In 2017, he graduated in editing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. In this period, he increased his interest in reusing archive material, and in November 2015 he won the best film award at “The Taste of Memory”, a repertory film festival, with a short film.

Domenico Croce was born in Rome on 24 August 1992. He studied engineering at La Sapienza University, in Rome. In 2014, he won the "Hobbit Fan Contest" with the short film "La strada va sempre avanti". In 2017 he graduated in directing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome.
