SIDDHARTH P MALHOTRA
Siddharth was born into a creative family: his father, Prem Kishen, owned a landmark television company Cinevistaas, which has some of India’s most well-known TV serials to its credit. He studied film directing at the New York Film Academy. He has assisted leading Hindi filmmakers such as Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Nikhil Advani, and was associate director to Sooraj Barjatya and Karan Johar. He also worked on TV shows as creator and creative producer for his family company, Cinevistaas. Siddharth wrote and was creator of much loved shows like "Sanjeevani", a medical show, and "Jersey Number 10", a youth-based show. He began his independent production company, Alchemy Films with his wife Sapna Malhotra, who is also a fashion designer. Alchemy Films has had a fantastic start with the super popular comedy show, "Icchapyari Nagin". For the big screen Siddharth debuted on the big screen with the film "We Are Family", an official remake of the Hollywood hit, Step Mom. Currently, Siddharth is working on potential new shows for Colors, Sony and Zee and on a web series.

Director's statement
"With HICHKI we challenged various norms like it being a female-centric film, an issue based film which spoke about a syndrome which not many were aware of and an actress coming back on screen post maternity. Aditya Chopra, Rani Mukerji, Maneesh Sharma, my DOP Avinash, the entire team and I went with the hope that we have made an honest film. It is extremely hearting to see how it has resonated with the audiences and even more heartening to know that it has rated so well on television as I am a TV guy and this is a medium for a huge audience".
