LOTTE AND THE LOST DRAGONS

Synopsis
Lotte, a spirited girl dog, gets a little sister named Roosi. Karl the raccoon and Viktor the fish are scientists who come to Gadgetville. They are taking part in a big folk song collecting competition. Whoever succeeds in recording the folk song of the world’s oldest animal species, the mythical fire-breathing dragon, wins the competition’s grand prize. Lotte and Roosi decide to help the scientists. Exciting and unexpected adventures await the sisters.

Heiki has worked as a photographer, art teacher, art director and director of animated films, designed book covers and layouts, and illustrated numerous publications. He has participated in numerous exhibitions of caricatures in Estonia and abroad. Ernits worked as an artist and film director at the animated film department of Tallinn film Studio from 1978 to 1994, and thereafter until the present at Eesti Joonis film Studio as an art director and director of animated films. He has directed and designed 12 animated films and worked since 1997 together with Janno Põldma on such children’sTV-series and films as "Tom and Fluffy", "Lotte's Journey South", "Ladybirds' Christmas", "Concert for a Carrot Pie", "Lotte from Gadgetville" and "Lotte and the Moonstone Secret".

Janno made his directing debut in the 1991. Since then he has directed 11 films, which have won several National Cultural Awards and prizes at Zagreb, Ottawa, Seoul, Brisbane and other international animated film festivals. Janno is also an acclaimed author of children’s books and plays for young people. He has directed two animated television series "Tom and Fluffy" (1997) and "Lotte's Journey South" (2000), which was awarded the Estonian Cultural Endowment Annual Prize and the Estonian Association of Film Journalists Prize for the Best Film of 2000 in Estonia. The family film "Ladybirds' Christmas" was released in Estonian cinemas in 2001 and was a box-office hit. The short animated film "Concert for a Carrot Pie" (2003) was nominated for the most important award in animated film, the CARTOON D’OR in 2004. "Lotte from Gadgetville" (2006) was a box-office hit. The film has participated in over 35 international film festivals and won several prizes, and has been sold to more than 55 countries. His latest animated film "Lotte and the Moonstone Secret" has also had similar success.
