Psicologi is the artistic encounter between Drast and Lil Kaneki, both 18 years old. A partnership born on the web and turned into music. Drast (born Marco De Cesaris), a Neapolitan from the old city centre, and Kaneki (Alessio Akira Aresu), a Roman from San Lorenzo, manage to tell the complexity of the world around them with truth and compositional intelligence. In their songs, streams of consciousness in pop-rap form, the "post-millennials" generation, idealistic and digital, McDonald's and the street, Nike and social centres emerge. Love between the desks of a school no longer able to represent them.
Their debut track Diploma focuses on the emblems and thoughts of contemporary adolescence with disarming simplicity. With Autostima they appear on streaming platforms and continue to make proselytes. Alessandra, produced with producers Frenetik & Orange, marks a first step towards collaborations with strong beat makers like Sick Luke on the track Stanotte and others on the launching pad like Mr. Monkey and Fudasca.
The writing, already lucid and credible, veers now towards pop (Non mi piace) now towards emocore and rap, it becomes poignant, candid (Guerra e Pace) but also angry and rebellious (Robin Hood), surprising for the variety of solutions and effectiveness. The sum of their songs has become a double CD (2001 + 1002), released on the 15th November, which recounts this creative phase, putting an initial point on their journey. After a winter tour in which they filled clubs all over Italy, they are now ready to start working on new material. On the 28th of February Sto Bene was released, the first anticipation of the new album, followed by the second extract Generazione.
Their debut album Millennium Bug will be released on the 12th of June 2020. A title that already contains suggestions and keys useful to understand the nature of this project and the context in which it was born. For Marco and Alessio, who are always looking for stimuli to tell their stories, this is a new step that consolidates their short but already bright path. The single FCK U sees for the first time the presence of a feat in a song in the name of the duo, and for this baptism there could only be to support them one of the most interesting artists of the Italian urban scene today, the strong Madame. The production is by Drast and Winniedeputa, mix and master by Andrea Suriani. In addition to Madame, the album also features valuable collaborations with Tredici Pietro on the track Funerale and Fuera on the track Povero. Millennium Bug debuted at number 5 of the best-selling records in Italy and is permanently present in the top 100 of the Fimi charts.
In September 2020 Drast and Kaneki released Tatuaggi together with their "little sister" and labelmate Aries. The track was certified Fimi gold in January 2021. In April, the repack Millennium Bug X was released.
