Daniel M. Lara
Daniel was born in Madrid, in 1972. He has worked on films, short films, and commercials. With Ilion Animation Studios, he worked on PLANET 51 as animation tools developer and storyboard artist. Self-taught, he learns 3D creation and animation and directs several animation short films between 1997 and 2006 that receive many awards in Spanish and international festival: 3 Historias tontas, WC!, PEPE and CHANGES. Dani has participated to several conferences. After 20 years of animation teaching experience, he founded Pepe School Land in 2006, a school focused in modeling, character animation and the creation of 3D shorts. He co-directed together with Rafa Cano Méndez the animation short film ALIKE, winner of a Goya Award for best animated short film.

Rafa Cano Méndez
Rafa (Madrid, 1982) came into the world of animation 10 years ago having a 2D animation course at the studio DIBUS SL in Seville, where he learnt traditional animation and concept arts. He ended his Art degree in Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, and later he joined the team of Nikodemo Animation, working as concept artist and animator in severals projects. As a complement to his 2d animation knowledges, he developed his expertise as a 3d animator in Pepe School Land. He directed with Miguel Angel Bellot and Carlos del Olmo the short film Tachaaan!. Goya nominated in 2010, with more than twenty awards. He combines his work in BigLazyRobot VFX with teaching at Pepe School Land. He co-directed with Daniel Martínez Lara the animation short film Alike, winner of a Goya Award for best animated short film.
