Synopsis
17 years-old twins Kristen and Owen are so wrapped up in their own world that they’re misfits in the real one. They spend their days caring for their mum Maureen. They love Maureen but are bored of caring for her and dream of murder and escape. And along comes Liam, in his twenties, tough, handsome, cool. Kristen falls for him intensively. Then Liam takes Owen out drinking and, after a game of pool, invites him into his apartment. Pissed, Liam suggests that Owen try on some women’s clothes he happens to have. Previously invisible behind his dominant sister, Owen transforms into a beautiful, sexy woman and finds the world, and Liam, attracted to him. Liam is a romantic, offering unconditional love. There is only one condition: Owen must take his sister’s identity and become a new Kristen.
Sinossi
I gemelli Kristen e Owen, diciassettenni, disadattati, alienati, chiusi nel loro mondo a parte, passano le loro giornate a occuparsi della madre, Maureen: le vogliono bene, ma sono stanchi di prendersene cura, e fantasticano di ucciderla e scappare. Quand’ecco arriva Liam, ventenne, affascinante, aitante, un adone. Kristen se ne innamora perdutamente. Poi Liam porta Owen a farsi una bevuta, e dopo una partita a biliardo lo invita nel suo appartamento. Ubriaco, Liam spinge Owen a provare qualche vestito da donna che si ritrova in casa. Owen, che prima era oscurato dalla figura dominante della sorella, si trasforma in una donna bella e seducente in grado di attrarre tutti, compreso Liam, il quale si infatua di Owen, e gli offre un amore totale, incondizionato. C’è una sola condizione: Owen deve assumere l’identità di sua sorella, e diventare una nuova Kristen.
