Synopsis
George has made it to his senior year without ever having done a real day of work. He’s befriended by Sally, the school beauty, a complicated girl who recognizes in him a kindred spirit. Meanwhile George concedes to let Dustin mentor him. Dustin, 25 year-old, is a successful artist. With Sally and Dustin by his side, George blossoms and dares to look towards the future.
 

Sinossi
George è giunto all’anno del diploma senza mai impegnarsi davvero negli studi. Incontra la più bella della scuola, la malinconica Sally, che in lui riconosce l’anima gemella. Intanto George trova una guida in Dustin, 25 anni, artista di successo. Con l’aiuto di Sally e Dustin, George troverà la forza di crescere e di aprirsi al futuro.

Born in New York City. He attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. After college he spent two years assisting director Bruce Paltrow for the feature film DUETS (2000). In 2002 Gavin produced the feature film DRAFTDODGING, directed by Wendall Adams. In 2008 he wrote and directed the short film KILL THE DAY (2008). THE ART OF GETTING BY, his feature directorial debut, was screened at the Sundance Film Festival and at the GFF.
 

Gavin Wiesen
È nato a New York, dove ha frequentato la Tisch School of the Arts. Dopo l’università, è stato assistente del regista Bruce Paltrow per il film DUETS (2000). Nel 2002 ha prodotto il film DRAFTDOGING, diretto da Wendall Adams. Nel 2008 ha diretto il cortometraggio KILL THE DAY. Nel 2011 L’ARTE DI CAVARSELA, il suo primo lungometraggio da regista, ha partecipato in concorso al Sundance Film Festival e al GFF.
