Janis Cimermanis
Born 1950. Animator and director, he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Theatre and Cinema (1980) and became a director at the Latvian Puppet Theatre. Since 1983 he has been working at the Latvian Film Studio as a stop-motion animator and director. From his film works we will mention the short animated films PARLIAMENT (PARLAMENTS, 2000), THE THREE MUSKETEERS (DE TRE MUSKETER, 2005), HUNTING (MEDIBAS, 2007) and THE TIGER (TIGERIS, 2010).
Janis Cimermanis
Nato nel 1950. Regista e animatore, si è diplomato presso l’Istituto di Teatro e Cinema di Leningrado nel 1980 ed è stato regista al teatro lettone delle marionette. Dal 1983 ha lavorato presso il Latvian Film Studio come animatore stop-motion e regista. Tra i suoi cortometraggi animati ricordiamo PARLIAMENT (PARLAMENTS, 2000), THE THREE MUSKETEERS (DE TRE MUSKETER, 2005), HUNTING (MEDIBAS, 2007) e THE TIGER (TIGERIS, 2010).
