Kolja Saksida
Kolja was born in 1981 in Slovenia. He is active in the field of film as a director, actor and producer. At his fifteen years, he made his debut in the short film FORWARD by Boris Petkovic, followed by roles in short films ROBBERY OF THE CENTURY, DARK SIDE OF THE MOON and feature films like FUCK, BLIND SPOT, INSTALLATION OF LOVE. As an assistant director he participated in the making of Academy Award winning film NO MAN'S LAND. Together with Marko A. Kovacic, he directed three animated short films featuring the Plastos Civilization. Up till now his most notable production was an animated series Koyaa that has been shown on the Slovenian national television throughout the 2005 season. 2009 he realized a short puppet animated film entitled KIDDO ‘’SLINGSHOT’’ as director, co-writer and co-producer. Saksida is a cofounder and director of production house ZVVIKS, based in Ljubljana - Slovenia.

Kolja è nato nel 1981 in Slovenia. È attivo nel campo del cinema come attore, regista e produttore. A 15 anni debutta come attore nel cortometraggio FORWARD di Boris Petkovic. Questo ruolo sarà seguito da altri nei corti ROBBERY OF THE CENTURY e DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, e in film come FUCK, BLIND SPOT, INSTALLATION OF LOVE. Come assistente alla regia ha partecipato alla realizzazione del film premio Oscar NO MAN’S LAND. Insieme a Marko A. Kovacic, ha diretto tre cortometraggi animati, dei documentari fantasy su una fantomatica civiltà chiamata Plastos. Fino ad ora la sua produzione più notevole è stata la serie KOYAA, trasmessa dalla televisione nazionale slovena per tutta la stagione 2005. Nel 2009 Kolja ha realizzato il corto a pupazzi animati KIDDO (SLINGSHOT’, presentato al Giffoni Film Festival 2010), come regista, co-sceneggiatore e co-produttore. Saksida è co-fondatore della casa di produzione ZVVIKS, con sede a Ljubljana, in Slovenia.
