Synopsis
From Hungarian Nobel Prize in Literature Imre Kertész’s autobiography, the film revolves around a 15 year old boy who during WWII is sent to a concentration camp. At the same time the film depicts the Jewish people’s lives in Budapest from the promulgation of the first racial laws - with the imposition of the yellow star on clothes - to the deportation to Auschwitz, Buchenwald and Zeltz and their final liberation and return to Budapest.
