AT HOME WITH MRS. HEN

Category: Edition 2006

Synopsis

Poor Mrs. Hen! Her oldest chick is a temperamental tyke. Just look at him, joystick in hand, eyes glued to the TV. When he’s hungry, he demands food, takes a few pecks and then boots his plate across the room. One day Mrs. Hen has had quite enough. To teach har hatchling a lesson, she leaves him entirely to his own devices.

Born in Buckingham, Québec, in 1964, Tali studied graphic arts at Dawson College before heading to France to enrol at the École des Beaux-Arts de Perpignan. In 1994 she entered the Cinéaste recherché(e) competition held by the National Film Board of Canada’s French Animation Study. Her proposed script won the competition, enabling her in 1997 to make her first animated short, UNDER THE WEATHER, screened at over 40 international festivals. In 2000 she directed PIROUETTE, that received a special international jury prize at the Hiroshima Festival. AT HOME WITH MRS. HEN is her third animation short.
