Chicago 1976. Pete O’Malley and Danny Jacobsen are two 8 year old friends on a quest to change the world. Most third graders spend their summer playing baseball and hanging out the pool. Born in Chicago, he attended the University of Missouri, where he graduated in Broadcast Journalism, with a master in Theatre Arts. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles, where spent his days working as a production assistant, and his nights writing screenplays. STOLEN SUMMER is greatly inspired by his childhood in Deerfield.

Director’s statement

“STOLEN SUMMER is about tolerance. It’s about believing completely in your own way but accepting the fact that others might have another point of view. It’s about family and taking the best from every generation”.
