Synopsis

The lovable teen Lizzie McGuire and her pals Gordo, Kate and Ethan pack their bags and plan to live la dolce vita while on a school trip to Italy. During their unforgettable Roman holiday, Lizzie stumbles into the life every girl dreams of when, in a case of mistaken identity, she meets Paolo, Italy’s teenage singing sensation and national heartthrob. As Lizzie is transformed from a gawky teen to a beautiful pop star, her friend Gordo struggles to understand his true feelings for her, and a whirlwind of surprising events force Lizzie to find the true meaning of friendship.

He was born in 1962 in Albion, New York, USA. A director and producer, his first film was TRICK (1999). In 2000, in collaboration with Wendy Engelberg, he directed the TV series GROSSE POINT, a satire on the off-camera antics of five actors who star in a fictional high school drama called "Grosse Pointe". THE LIZZIE MCGUIRE MOVIE is his second feature film.
