Synopsis
Otis the Firefly is trying to find a girlfriend, but due to his inability to glow he is finding this difficult. All the small creatures are excited because this evening they will be going to the midsummer night’s ball. Otis must do something to find a girlfriend so that he can participate in the celebrations.

Dace Rīdūze
Born in Latvia in 1973. From 1988 to 1992 she studied at the Secondary School of Applied Arts. Over the next four years she studied at the Riga Pedagogical Institute and Educational High School as school Theatre Director and Art Teacher. In 1997 she began work as an animator at the “AB” Film Studio and in 1999 she took a masters degree at the Latvian Academy of Pedagogy and Psychology. Her first animated short film is entitled UP AND DOWN (2000), and it was followed by CATS (2002) and FIREFLY (2002).
