Synopsis
The 11 year old German girl, Anna and the 13 year old Algerian boy Fuad have always been friends despite the xenophobia of Anna’s parents and others in their hometown. However when Fuad falls for Veronica, his relationship with Anna is put to the test. Anna becomes jealous and gets her revenge on Fuad by taking advantage of the xenophobic environment they live in to get Fuad into trouble.

Aleksandra Kumorek
Born 1971, Poland. She moved to Berlin with her family in 1981. She took Film and Theatre Studies in Berlin and an M.A. Course in Directing at the Northern Media School in Sheffield, UK. She has worked for several TV and Film Companies in Germany during the past ten years, shooting several documentaries for TV and also two short films: HELGA K. (1992), AM FLUSS (1994). SUMMER GAMES is her third short film.
