The king asks his three daughters why they love their father. The youngest replies: "I love my father as much as salt". The king gets very angry at this answer and hunts from the kingdom. The princess meets the prince of the near kingdom and together they decide to invite the king to a party. Delicacies are served to the guest, but without salt. When the king complains about the lack of salt, the prince reminds him of what his daughter said. The princess is forgiven and marries the prince.
