GARY MCGIVNEY
Gary McGivney is an animator, producer, and director. With over thirty five years of experience, his work has been recognized by many awards for his book to film adaptations. The videos have won Cine Golden Eagles, a Carnegie medal, two Chris statues (top award at the Columbus International Film Festival), a Gold Remi at Worldfest Houston, and numerous silver and bronze medals at various festivals around the world. A native of the USA, he arrived in Wellington NZ in 1996 and formed Zippitoons, Ltd., a total service animation studio. Current projects include an ongoing animation-based English education series for the Japanese and Asian markets, as well as continuing book to video adaptations for Weston Woods/Scholastic USA.
