ANNA FRESU

She is a director, author, theater actress, translator and scholar of African literature. She was born in La Maddalena, Sardinia. She moved to Rome in 1964 where she graduated from the Linguistic Lyceum and graduated in Literature and Philosophy at La Sapienza University. He has attended numerous theater courses, including the Studio Theater, participating in the creation of the Spaziozero theater and collaborating with various directors and musicians. He is president of the cultural associations "Il Cerchio dell'Incontro" that promotes education for peace and development through workshops and theater shows and for which he has written and directed numerous shows that have participated in festivals and theater festivals in several Italian cities, and of "Writings of Africa" ​​which promotes the knowledge of African literature and migration. In 1975 he worked in Portugal as a cultural mediator. Since 1977 he has lived in Mozambique where he taught and directed the National Theater School, making many shows. He has created and directed, with the director and journalist Mendes de Oliveira, the "Department of Cinema for Children and Youth", making several films that have won international awards.
