Synopsis
Germany in the mid-30s, shortly after Hitler took over. Peter a 6-year-old boy lives with his parents and his dog in a small apartment in a small town. During the summer holidays, the courtyard is noisy for the squalls of the children who, commanded by Ewald, the son of a Nazi officer, play to reproduce the actions of the great: protests, arrests, distribution of illegal leaflets, files for shopping.
Peter's father, on the other hand, is unemployed and a member of the clandestine Communist Party. His family lives on the little money his mother earns. One day Peter's father is arrested. The boy is only terrified with his dog all day, while his mother is at work.
