Synopsis
Coal deposits were formed from the geological movements of millions of years ago. In the Tuscan hinterland, in the province of Arezzo, a lignite mine feeds the S. Barbara thermoelectric plant. The ground upset by the open pit is gradually filled with inert materials and destined for agricultural and tourist activities.
