Robert William Young (Cheltenham, March 16, 1933) is a British film director, screenwriter and producer, particularly active in b-movies and British television series.
Robert Young's career began in the early seventies. Not all sources, however, give the director, at the beginning, titles like And So Ends (1972), Why do you fair (1976) because of the famous cast (Jack Palance, Anthony Franciosa, Carroll Baker, and Diana Dors), associating them with the homonymous actor Robert Young.
The first film unanimously credited to the director is therefore Vampyre Circus of 1972, released in Italy with the title of The Queen of the Vampires only in 1975.
He also has an appearance as an actor in the 1978 film by Alan Pakula A free and wild knight arrives.
