Synopsis
Subject and screenplay of this educational feature, based on very interesting period material, are signed by Turolla himself. The film begins with the commemoration of the British explorer Scott, who reached the South Pole in 1912 and died on the return journey of hunger and cold. (Before him, however, there was the Norwegian Amundsen.) The documentary then describes the Continent of ice, that is the Antarctica, the animals that inhabit it, the flora, the mysterious backdrops, the immense ice, the fossils found etc.
