NICOLA ABBATANGELO
Nicola's first contact with the world of entertainment begins within the family: his parents run an agency that organise theatrical performances and major events. Here, Nicola takes his first steps as a production assistant and later as an artistic director. He continues his research attending a course at the New York Film Academy and then specializing at NUCT in Cinecittà Studios and at Istituto Murnau. Thus his experience as a director, executive producer and screenwriter begins. He ventures into several projects, including short films, documentaries, TV and artistic installations and gradually turns his eyes to the movie business. In 2015, after a period of experimentation, he founds Moolmore Films, a production company that stands out for the research of innovative and international projects that reflect the director's interest in music, modern fairy tales and technological innovation. In 2017 he puts his research in the field to good use producing BEAUTY, a 25-minutes musical short film shot in Rome with an international cast and an original soundtrack composed in Los Angeles. BEAUTY is the first Italian musical short with live-recorded audio, with all the songs performed live, and it is also the first Italian film mixed with the innovative Dolby Atmos technique.
