Synopsis
Born from an idea by Iginio Straffi, the animated series, realized in collaboration with Antoniano Bologna and Rai Ragazzi, is about the lives of four very nice cats: Lampo, Milady, Pilou and Polpetta. Our protagonists live in the house of the bubbly grandma Pina, an adorable old lady that takes care of them. They play in a band called ‘Buffycats’ and have turned the big garage of the house into their private space, the ‘Clubhouse’: this is where they sleep, have concerts and hang out with the other cats of the neighbourhood. In each episode the four ‘Buffycats’ will have a series of fun adventures around the city and in evocative places, facing challenges and assisting the many friends that will ask for their help to solve problems. Our cats are bringers of educational messages and in the various episodes will deal with several themes like tolerance, diversity and solidarity, teaching positive values in a fun and light ways, also helped by their happy and energetic songs. The series talks about how cats see our world, and how they live when we, the humans, aren’t around them. Our cats observe the world just like children do, through a unique child-like and comically spontaneous view.
