Synopsis
There are over 3 million people in Italy who live with eating disorders. Of these, 2.3 million are teenagers. The documentary tells the first encounter between a group of girls who share the hashtag #larinascitadellefarfalle. They are between 14 and 22 years old and, thanks to their strength - and also thanks to Instagram - they are recovering from eating disorders. All with a recovery profile on Instagram, where they share their progress and their relation with food, they meet in Florence in a manifestation that means: I am sick but I’m fighting and I’m no longer hiding. Eating disorder is a mental pathology that changes every day, which affects almost everyone, although not always directly. Those who suffer from it are hungry but also angry. The documentary tells us how there is a generation of girls and young women to whom we must give confidence because they can save themselves together.
