Daniele Suraci was born in Palmi in 1982. He moved to Rome and graduated in film directing and writing at the Free University of Cinema in Rome with the short film COME MUOIONO LE FOGLIE. Later Daniele worked as assistant director for Manetti Bros and Michele Placido, and for the SKY fiction MOANA. His training continued with a diploma in screenwriting and film writing from Tracce in Rome. In 2012 he wrote and directed the short film LA TERRA, selected in numerous festivals including Clermont-Ferrand. In 2013 the screenplay IL PASSO DELLA LUMACA became a short film, selected and awarded in several festivals, chosen by the Ministry of Culture as one of the three Italian projects presented at TIFF and broadcasted by SKY. Daniele continues his training by participating in the film production workshop of the Cannes Film Festival. In 2019 he wrote and directed U SCANTU (2019) made with the contribution of the MiBact and Calabria Film Commission and produced by Nardis Production.
