Esben Toft Jacobsen
Esben Toft Jacobsen is a Danish writer and director, mainly known for BEYOND BEYOND (2014), THE GREAT BEAR (2011) and THE RAIN (2018). A former student of visual communication at the Danish Design School, Toft Jacobsen graduated in animation direction from the National Film School of Denmark in 2006. He has worked as a freelance artist and animator on numerous computer games. Since graduating from film school, Toft Jacobsen has developed and directed productions for Copenhagen Bombay, including the short film KIWI & STRIT, which formed part of the feature film CASTEN & GITTE’S MOVIE MADNESS (Anders Morgenthaler et al, 2008). Toft Jacobsen’s first animated feature, THE GREAT BEAR, was warmly received at the Berlin film festival in 2011.
