Michael Rittmannsberger
Michael was born in 1982 in Linz/Austria. Between 2003 and 2008 he attended Multimedia Art at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences (with focus on film/video) and the University of Westminster (Media Arts & Design) in London. Since 2007 he works as a film director, copywriter and screenwriter for fiction films and commercials. With his short film SISTER, in 2011, Michael won the jury award in Stockholm and other prizes, before becoming an appointed selectioner at Slamdance (a film festival reserved for independent films) and attending the Berlinale Talent Campus. Abgestempelt was nominated as best short film at the MAX OPHÜLS PREIS 2012, the most important competition for young film-makers in the German Speaking World.

Michael è nato nel 1982 a Linz, in Austria. Tra il 2003 e il 2008 ha studiato Arti Multimediali presso l'Università di Scienze Applicate di Salisburgo (specializzazione film/video) e all'Università di Westminster (Media Arts & Design) a Londra. Dal 2007 lavora come regista, copywriter e sceneggiatore di film fiction e spot pubblicitari. Con il cortometraggio SISTER, nel 2011, Michael ha vinto il premio della giuria a Stoccolma e altri premi, prima di diventare selezionatore per lo Slamdance (il festival dedicato al cinema indipendente) e frequentare il Berlinale Talent Campus. Abgestempelt è stato nominato come miglior cortometraggio al MAX OPHÜLS PREIS 2012, il più importante concorso per giovani cineasti nel mondo di lingua tedesca.
