Baldvin Zophoníasson
Born in 1978 in Iceland, from 1999 to 2002 he worked as a freelance editor, camera man and a producer for all the largest television networks in Iceland but also took a course in documentary making in Norway. He also made music videos for Icelandic bands and worked at a local TV station. In 2003-2004 he founded an advertising agency where he worked as the general manager and creative director. In this period Baldvin made commercials, music videos and shorts. Baldvin moved to Denmark in the year 2004 to study film making. He attended KTS but did other courses as well (photography, acting and directing). He also continued doing television commercials as a freelancer for both Danish and Icelandic companies. He got nominated for the best short film in the Short Film Marathon competition in Copenhagen. In 2008 Baldvin moved back to Iceland where he currently lives. Today he is working on two projects, one a documentary and the other a feature film.

Baldvin Zophoníasson

Dal 1999 al 2002 lavora come montatore indipendente, operatore e produttore per tutte le principali reti televisive islandesi e contemporaneamente segue un corso sulla realizzazione di documentari in Norvegia. Inoltre realizza video musicali e lavora per emittenti locali. Nel 2003-2004 fonda un agenzia pubblicitaria della quale è direttore generale e creativo. In questo periodo firma pubblicità, video musicali e cortometraggi. Nel 2004 si trasferisce in Danimarca per studiare cinema. Frequenta la Copenhagen Technical Academy e altri corsi (fotografia, recitazione e regia). Allo stesso tempo continua a realizzare pubblicità come indipendente per agenzie danesi e islandesi, e riceve la candidatura per il miglior cortometraggio alla Short Film Marathon di Copenhagen. Nel 2008 torna in Islanda. Al momento è impegnato su due progetti: un documentario e un lungometraggio.
