Synopsis
The story of the unlikely friendship between two teenage boys from vastly different cultural backgrounds. Sparrow is a working-class street kid and Sebastien a middle-class boy of privilege. One day, they meet at a video-game arcade. Together, they become friends and embark on a journey of self-discovery to locate Sparrow's long-lost mother, an immigrant Vietnamese woman.

Scott Hicks (Uganda, March 4, 1953) is an Australian director.
Born in Uganda to English parents, but raised in Kenya and England, then settling in Adelaide, in the south of Australia. He graduated from Flinders University in 1975. He began his career working in the field of videoclips and documentaries, also making one for the band INXS.
He resides in Adelaide with his wife Kerry Heysen and his sons, Scott Jr. and Jethro.
