Three brave gilrs and a chaperone set off towards Normandy...
Leaving from the chaotic airport in Naples, the city of pizza, the landed in Paris, ville de la baguette.
After meeting the President of the Rotary Club and struggling to put all of their suitcases in the car boot (especially Giusy's),
they travelled through the green countryside populated by cows to Rouen the city of a thousand spires.

May 16:
After landing at 4, they couldn't miss the opportunity to walk through Paris from East to West.
Once they finally got to Rouen, after Giusy had learnt her first sentence in French, "Je suis fatiguèe!",
they met their families for a week in front of the ancient lycèe Pierre Corneille.

rouen_7May 17:
At 8 am once they had got to the Lycèe they were chaperoned around the school, a visit that was inaugurated by a patriotic Norwegian ceremony!
They started their "film" tour of the school from the Students' Film Room, passing by the dubbing room, the editing room, even improvising a sketch for the cameras so to test the school equipment.
The afternoon was dedicated to visiting the Cathedral and the Joan of Arc square.

May 18:
Rouen was temporarily left to go to Dieppe, a city full of qind and history, Varengeville with its church and botanic park and Etretat and its rocks.

May 19:
Thursday morning was dedicated to the Musèe des Beaux Arts in Rouen, with works of artists such as Monet and Caravaggio.
After lunch at the Lycèe Corneille refectory, the girls went to La Bouille, Duclair and St Georges de Boscherville.

rouen_20May 20:
A dive into the past in the Caen peace memorial, where they went through the history of WW1 and the Berlin wall fall. They ended the day with a visit to Deauville, which was getting ready for the G8, and a visit to Honfleur.

May 21:
As they were free on the Saturday they decided to spend their time in different ways: Giusy walking through the streets of paris in a hot day in May whilst Sara and Ilaria shopping in Rouen for presents for their friends...and themselves!

May 22:
Wake up at 5:30 to leave at 6! (except for someone who I won't name again who woke up at five to six...)

How can I describe this journey in just one word? Superbe!
The suitcases, which were once full only of objects are now full of something more: experience and many memories...
Ilaria, Sara and Giusy
