The GEX Deputy Director Manlio Castagna is in Doha to collaborate on the fifth edition of the Ajyal Youth Film Festival (29 November - 4 December 2017) .

The Giffoners' suitcase is never packed for good: Anna Maria Iodice (16), Martino Napoli (18 ), Davide Nobile (18 ), Antonio Paolo Piemonte (15) and Natascia De Rosa, Head of the Giffoni Experience Jury Office, have been attending the Four River Film Festival (Croatia) since Sunday September 10.

Giffoni Experience never stops. Six jurors aged between 14 and 16, had the oportunity to breathe the exciting atmosphere of the technology and cultural centre of Kraljevika (Croatia) from 25 July to 1 August. Chaperoned by the Jury office head, Manuela De Cataldis, Noemi Ferrara, Annarita Gaudieri, Pietro Pantani, Francesco Polini e Valentina Santoro took part in several workshops – such as Fiction Film and Experimental Film - held by Croatian filmmakers.

A "floating intercultural classroom" is the definition given by the Media Education Centre of Belgrade (Serbia) to the Danube Peace Boat project. From July 24 to August 6 jurors Natalina Caiazza (18) anf Mariangela Vecchio (23) travelled over the course of two weeks along the river Danube in Serbia, and by doing so they discovered a wonderful land and got to learn about digital and audiovisual supports as a means of interaction and social tools.

MyGIFFONI, is the domestic competition, organized by Giffoni Experience, addressed to audiovisual products made by students and schools and or cultural associations. Over 100 young videomakerstook part in the contest by sending their shorts. The Six winners have been invited to the 47th Giffoni Film Festival (14-22 July 2017). A delegation of three students plus the chaperone will have the opportunity to dive into the magic of the Festival presenting their work to the jurors. Copies of the films will be listed in the archive of the festival.

Giffoni StreetFest is set to celebrate its fifth year. The Festival within the Festival, has been a real success with audiences since its inception with over 50.000 people, 30 shows, 10 locations, 9 days of workshops for families, several play areas, two Holy Color parties, street buskers, puppeteers, face painting, street bands, contemporary circuses and so much more.

Winter is coming early to Italy this year. On July 19, the battle for the iron throne moves to the Giffoni Experience when “Game of Thrones”star Kit Harington will meet the international jury of youth at the 47th Giffoni Film Festival (14 – 22 July, 2017) and receive the Giffoni Experience Award 2017.

The  "Giffoni Days” at San Donà di Piave near Venezia were very interesting and ended today with a lot of future prospects. Giffoni Experience director Claudio Gubitosi and deputy director Manlio Castagna received a warm welcome, first by the mayor Andrea Cereser and then at the Don Bosco theatre by Vincenzo Sabellico, School manager of LEON BATTISTA ALBERTI school.
