After announcing the participation of International star Naya Rivera at the Giffoni Film Festival 2013, the media went crazy. Social Networks don't lie!   The actress will take part in the 43rd Giffoni Film Festival, the youth event created by Claudio Gubitosi, which will take place July 19 – 28, 2013, in Giffoni Valle Piana, Italy.   A Screen Actors Guild and ALMA award winner, who was also named as Maxim’s 100 most beautiful women in 2010, 2011 and 2012, Naya began her career at the tender age of four as Hilary Winston in the hit show The Royal Family, produced by Eddie Murphy.  She went on to appear in several other hit shows including Smart Guy, Baywatch, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Family Matters, 8 Simple Rules and C.S.I. Miami, until she was chosen to play the role of Santana Lopez, the feisty cheerleader and glee club member at William Mckinley High School, on GLEE which shot her to international stardom. The actress has admitted that being a fan of the show’s executive producer Ryan Murphy drove her to audition for the breakout role which has garnered her rave reviews from critics and fans alike.   Naya also dedicates much of her time to charitable organizations, such as GLAAD, , and causes that focus on empowering young women.   Glee – mania is set to invade Giffoni's Cittadella del Cinema yet again, and fans will have the opportunity to see Naya and show her their love.    

From 5th to 12th April, the 31st edition of the International Film Festival will be held in Saint Quentin, in northern France. At the event, two jurors from Giffoni Experience, Martina Valese and Elena  Ragone will have the opportunity to fly to France, to participate at the festival to see and vote the movie in competition. DFI Announces Cultural Partnership with Giffoni Film Festival. Ajyal Film Festival for the Young and Giffoni Film Festival to share knowledge, expertise in international exchange of cinema culture.

The first phase of the Forever Young Creative Contest ended with the victory of the Hungarian illustrator Andràs Baraniay whose work has been chosen as a representative image for the 43rd edition of the Giffoni Film Festival. Giffoni Experience has selected 40 works among the other 500 received to award the jury prize  through his facebook page. The works will be rated by the system of "like". The contest will end on March 29th 6.00 pm and the work with the most "like" will riceive a prize that will consist of gadgets of GFF and the publishing on the official catalog of the 43rd edition. To vote you must be registered to the Giffoni Experience facebook page. Today, at 19:00, at the Sala Truffaut of Cittadella del Cinema of Giffoni Valle Piana, there will be the national premiere of the movie "The perks of being a Wallflower", directed by Stephen Chbosky, distributed in Italy by M2Pictures.   The film, produced by John Malkovich, has in its cast Emma Watson (Hermione in the famous Harry Potter movies) and Paul Rudd (Friends, 40 Year Old Virgin, The Cider House Rules) and tells the story of young Charlie Kelmeckis, a nerd who reads much and speak little. He is a teenager living in an age where everything is dramatic and exciting, especially if, while living something as wonderful as the first day in high school, a malaise can tear silently inside. The friendship of two brothers senior years will help him to accept himself and be understood.   The film, released in theaters starting tomorrow, will be screened in Giffoni in the original language with italian subtitles and represents an opportunity for young audiences to participate in the discussion following the screening and be selected for the jury of the Festival. Emma Watson has been officially invited as a guest at the 43rd edition of the Giffoni Experience to be held 19th to 28th July 2013.    

Gianvincenzo Nastasi, a member of the artistic direction of the Giffoni Experience, will be involved - as a juror - at the 25th edition of '"European Youth Film Festival" that will take place in Antwerp, from 11th to 16th of February. The program of the festival includes a schedule of Italian films and TV series (presented in the latest editions of GFF) , selected by the Giffoni Experience, which will be screened to the festival audience. For the first time the Giffoni Experience is flying to South America, thanks to the first edition of the Giffoni-São Paulo Film Festival to be held from January 28 to February 1 febbraio 2013. The event will take place at the "Memorial da America Latina", a symbol of the city of Sao Paulo created by the most important Brazilian architecht, Oscar Niemeyer. Brazil has adopted the same successful formula of the original GFF with the participation of 400 International jurors from 10 countries. The theme of the first edition is “Love” .   "Promoting culture and investing on youth and creativity – claims Claudio Gubitosi, artistic director of the GFF – is one of the goals of the Giffoni Experience, which has already spread its formula in every corner of the world: Australia, USA, Poland, Albania, Qatar. The Brazilian appointment is a fundamental one, for a pivotal moment in time in the history of the country, at the centre of and economical and cultural development. Sharing the Giffoni experience in Brazil represents one of the most important steps in recent Giffoni memory. A selection of thought provoking movies with themes such as challenged family relationships, coming of age stories.   The remaining two films are Brazilian productions selected by the São Paulo team: O Palhaço by Selton Mello, the story of a clown on a quest for his true identity and Xingu, by Cao Hamburger, a film about the Villas – Boas brothers, the main creators of the Xingu park, one of the biggest ecological reservation for natives ever created.   The programme also includes 5 films out of competition for the general public: Os Desafinados by Walter Lima Jr., Gonzaga- De Pai para Filho, by Breno Silveira, Lisbela and the Prisioner, by Guel Arraes, O Contador de Histórias by Luiz Villaça and A Busca by Luciano Moura. Several Q&As with film talent and industry are also planned together with, workshops, live music performances and more.   The jury of the first edition (2 sections) of Giffoni-São Paulo will be composed of 400 youth from Italy, Venezuela, Belarus, Sout Korea, Albania, Hungary, Armenia, Mexico, South Africa, Spain and, obviously, Brazil. All jurors from the guest country were selected through scouting in Schools and cultural organizations, whilst the International jurors were selected by the Giffoni Experience who chose 50 youth thanks to a network of Film and cultural organizations worldwide. In the same fashion of Giffoni, the jurors in São Paulo will be tasked with choosing the best film.   Among the talent set to garce the stage: brazilian thesps Eva Wilma, Suzana Pires, Denise Fraga, Ana Lucia Torre, Priscila Fantin and diretors Bruno Mazzeo, and Luiz Villaça.   The Giffoni Award and Gryphon Award for the first edition of Giffoni São Paulo Film Festival were manufactured in Campania by SCU8. This morning the program of the first edition of the Giffoni Sao Paulo Film Festival was presented to the international press and Brazilian institutions. Special guest of the presentation, one of the greatest actors of world cinema, Giancarlo Giannini, who, tomorrow, will meet the 400 jurors from 10 countries, and discuss with them about his movie "Ti ho cercato in tutti i necrologi" which will have its world premiere at the Memorial de America Latina.   The press conference was attended by Marco Scabia, director of the GiffoniSao Paulo Film Festival, Floriano Pesaro, representative of Prefeitura of Sao Paulo, Diego Christiano of Petrobras, Claudio Gubitosi, director and founder of the Giffoni Experience and Giancarlo Giannini.
