Giffoni Experience launches the first International summit dedicated to the media world for youth
The first edition will take place in Tirana April 29 - May 2
On its 44th anniversary Giffoni keeps on being a young and innovative idea. A Festival template capable of creating energy through youth gatherings.
Giffoni Experiencehas promoted numerous initiatives all over the world in the last 10 years in places such as Los Angeles, Tirana, Sydney and Skopje.
Giffoni is ready to go one step further: make its own know-how available through the creation of a network which will also include information on other festivals and organizations in the world.
In order to breathe life into the project, Giffoni Experience has organized the first YouthMediaWorldAllianceInternational summit to be held inTirana from April29 to May 2 2014.
The event will see the participation of long time partners such as:Albania, Macedonia, Georgia, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Tunisia, Croatia, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Romania and Italy.
The main topics of the discussions shall be the promotion and valorization of film, TV and new media for youth, the training of professionals through cultural co-operations and the productions of events.
“It is undoubtedly a very ambitious project that looks forward and that will certainly be implemented day by day with the help of our partners” – claimedClaudio Gubitosi, the director of the Giffoni Experience. “We have decided to make our know how available by putting it on line – said Gubitosi – to offer new opportunities to our young followers around the world. There are many countries that have confirmed their participation in Tirana for the first edition and the number is destined to grow”.
Among the attendees of the summit: The Councillor to Culture of the Regione Campania,Caterina Miraglia, Maria Giuseppina Troccoli,Director of Servizio II – Production, Distribution, Technical Industries of the Culrural Heritage Ministery, whom shall open the summit together with the Giffoni Experience President,Piero Rinaldi. Also participatingThe Minister of Culture to Albania Mirela Kumbaro and the Mayor of Tirana Lulzim Basha.
The Summit is sponsored by the Gffoni Experience and funded by Fondo Pac Campania 2013-2014.
