Giffoni Macedonia this year introduces the new project - Giffoni on tour, envisioned to include several cities across the country.
Giffoni on tour aims at presenting the cultural product “Giffoni” across the country by engaging a great number of young film lovers that through the two-day rich film and educational program get to experience the magic of film and culture in general.
The product will find its way to the audience in four Macedonian municipalities: Prilep, Ohrid, Bitola and Tetovo.
Giffoni on tour – Prilep will take place in the Cultural Centre “Marko Cepenkov” on April 25 and 26 with the participation of youth from Prilep’s secondary schools, the first to take part in this project.
The two-day event will provide a wide range of film and educational programs aimed at raising the level of informal education among young people emphasizing on the aesthetic values of film art.
The film program features “Lore” by Cate Shortland and the “Deflowering of Eva Van Hend” by Michiel ten Horn, followed by discussions. The participants will also take part in two workshops: the One-minute films workshop on the basics of one minute narrative and the essential aspects and techniques of its creation, and the Photo story workshop, which will provide the participants with an introduction of the basic aesthetic categories of photographic art, emphasizing on photo series, photo collection and photo story.
Two videos will also be screened for the purpose of introducing the young audiences with Giffoni Experience and the Youth Film Festival Giffoni Macedonia.
The event is organized by the Macedonian Film Agency, Djifoni M – Association for promotion of the film culture and Giffoni Experience, in cooperation with the Municipality of Prilep and the Cultural Centre “Marko Cepenkov” with the generous support by the sponsors Vitaminka AD, Prilep Brewery and Kapri.
