Max Giusti: "I feel cool hosting Super Max"

Host Max Giusti comes back in style on radio and TV too: starting from next season, radio show SuperMax will also air on TV, featuring Gioia Marzocchi. Giusti, who's graced the Giffoni Experience today, doesn't hide his great contentment: "I feel cool hosting SuperMax". The show will be back on Radio2 and  will be also broadcast on Rai2. Spurred by the jurors' curiosity, Max traces the beginning of his career:

"I don't come from a family of artists. My father was an engineering worker and my mother a shop assistant. I used to go to the theatre thanks to the CRAL (recreational and welfare centre for workers) tickets. I've climbed the ladder, sacrificing the best years of my youth. At 16 I used to work in cabarets; at 18, while my mates went to the beach, I used to perform in dozens show all over Italy. Therefore I  lost all my friends, as I couldn't live them. But I've learnt that if you want to get something in life, you have to give something in return".

When asked about the tough time our Country has been going through, the actor shows a more thoughtful side of his character: "No doubt this is not a great moment. Apart from the economic crisis, we have to face unsolved issues, such as the Mafia. It once used to kill people directly, whereas now it forces them to commit suicide due to debts: that's the only difference".

After being bestowed the Giffoni Television Award, Giusti gives the youth crowding the hall his piece of advice: "Fight bad habits like indifference, don't listen to people who only try to snuff your hopes and  dreams out. If you're provided with manners, respect of others and a bit of luck, you won't need anything else. Just open the door and throw yourself into life".
