Giffoni Experience and Doha Film Institute synergy, how to make the world a better place

The synergy between Giffoni Experience and Doha Film Institute gets closer, going beyond the boundaries  of cinema and rather becoming an opportunity to share social and humanitarian projects. That’s the heart of the speech given today by Michael Petrovich, Head of Production of Education Above All Foundation, a non-governmental organization founded and chaired by Her Highness Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser. The meeting has been coordinated by managing director Claudio Gubitosi: «Our partnership with the Doha Film Institute – he said – has been going on for a few years now. We’ll go back to Qatar in December, on the occasion of the Ajyal Youth Film Festival, but today at Giffoni we have the chance to show the world a major project aimed at providing primary education to kids and youth living in the poorest and war torn areas in the world. Things often start from a meeting, just like the one we’ve held today. We share major aims with the Doha Film Institute and Education Above All Foundation, and that’s the perfect chance to deepen our joint effort.

Michael Petrovich has described strategies and projects of the Foundation: "Education Above All aims to spread a message of hope and give the opportunity to educate the poorest countries. We’ve been working on six specific projects that involve our presence in Africa and Asia and, overall, in more than 25 countries all over the world. Following our strategy, we collaborate with the local non-governmental organizations, providing them support.

As a matter of fact, Giffoni Experience purpose has always been focusing on youth. "Here – said Petrovich – you can breathe energy in the air. Giffoni is a big chance for teenagers. We want to give them an opportunity as well, because improving their life means laying the foundations for a better place. That's why we share major aims."
