GIFFONI, STEFANO FRESI: «I WISH I WERE A SUPERHERO TO BEAT PRECARIOUSNESS»

Stefano Fresi
, one of the most promising Italian actors who’s met today the young Giffoni jurors, straightforwardly compares himself with powerful and imposing Hulk. “I look like Hulk – he says mindless of Mark Ruffalo, who portrays the Marvel character and is expected tomorrow at the Cittadella – but I wish I had the superpower of beating precariousness worldwide. That doesn’t mean I’m against parliament, as no one is allowed to say such a thing in Italy”.

Even without a proper superhero costume, when there are just a few hours to go before Disney preview of Ant-Man 3D, the second talent of the opening day underlines the problems of our Country in that ironic tone of his. “Cinema must be a means of information – goes on Fresi – a clear picture of the Country. As actors, we have the task of showing you the lights and shades of everyday life, in order to train and raise you better than our generation”.

Fresi has been delighted with Giffoni Film Festival: “I’ve heard lots of people saying that GFF is the coolest Festival in the world. And they were right. Here I’ve met a crowd of youth whose eyes are looking for answers”.
