Sophie Olga de Jong
Artist and animation filmmaker, she is working and living in Amsterdam. Her work includes independent projects as well as commissioned animation. She grew up in Bergen, in The Netherlands. As the daughter of an illustrator she started drawing from an early age. Whilst attending art school AKV St. Joost in Breda, she produced her first hand-drawn film FOR THE TIME BEING (2010). Since graduating she has been working as a freelancer on a variety of projects for tv shows, commercials, music videos and animations for museums and theatre. Together with Sytske Kok she finished the independent short animation film CYCLE (2018), with whom she is currently developing another animated film HONDENLEVEN.
Sytske Kok
Sytske Kok graduated from the Dutch Film academy as a writer/director in 1996. She completed her training at the Binger Filmlab two years later. She directed and wrote five short films. Her short DE CHINESE MUUR (THE CHINESE WALL) was awarded in several international film festivals. In 2010 she wrote the script for the TV movie TUNNELVISIE (TUNNEL VISION) directed by Italian director Stefano Odoardi which premiered at the 2010 Utrecht Film Festival. In 2018 she directed with Sophie Olga de Jong the animated short film CYCLE. She currently works as a writer/director and teaches scriptwriting at the Schrijversvakschool.
