The film's story is based on the Slavic folk tale, which has been told for ages from the peasants point of view. The film shows the story from an underground angle - giving an overview of what really happened while peasants were engaged in the cultivation of vegetables.

Piret was born in 1976. She is an independent animation artist and director. Graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 2004. She has been working in Nukufilm studio. She is a founder and owner of cut-out animation studio Animailm. Author of animated music videos for punk band Kurjam. Among her films: TIIT AND SELMA (2000) and CURIOUS OX SALE (2004) and DEATH AT CHRISTMAS EVE. He is also the co-author of Animailm projects: ONE BY ONE! (2011), THE PIPE PIPER (2014), WEDDING GAME (2015), LEELO AND WOLF (2015), THE TURNIP (2022).
Silja was born in 1973. Artist and filmmaker. Graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 2004. Has been teaching drawing and welding in Estonian Academy of Arts, has been curating and designing exhibitions. Freelance artist - working in the field of interdisciplinary arts creating and using stories of little people living on Earth. She is the co-artist of WEDDING GAME (2015), LEELO AND WOLF (2015), and co-author of THE TURNIP (2022).
