Snowflakes, fragrant almonds and twinkling lights create the perfect atmosphere at Mariann’s Christmas market visit when suddenly she discovers an unbelievable secret: on the top shelf of the lottery booth, the sweetest teddy bear has just moved his head and started sniffing. Feeling an instant connection with the living toy, Mariann can’t think of any better wish for Christmas and tries to win him. However, Teddy has different plans, dreaming of a wealthy owner who can teach him everything the world has to offer. But when Teddy is taken away to a woodshed, his new best friend, the hedgehog Bolla, helps him realize what really counts in life…

ANDREA ECKERBOM
Andrea Eckerbom is a writer and director born in Stockholm 1981. She graduated at Perth film school, Australia in 2003 with a degree in film editing and directing. She has casted more than 400 commercials and featured films like MAX MANUS, A SOMEWHAT GENTLE MAN, LIMBO, THE WAVE AND KON-TIKI. She eventually left casting and focused on directing and has since made over 100 commercial spots. Eckerbom is considered as one of the most active commercial directors in Norway. Her meticulous attention to detail and broad experience has put her in demand for international jury duty in the world of commercial filmmaking. She received several awards among which a Silver Lion from Cannes. FORGOTTEN CHRISTMAS (2019) was her first feature film as a director followed by TEDDY’S CHRISTMAS in 2022.
