Biography

Giampiero was born in Naples in 1999 and immediately became passionate about the world of acting. During his high school years he was chosen to participate in some television projects for Rai: "Che Dio ci aiuti" (Francesco Vicario, 2016) with Elena Sofia Ricci, and "Mia moglie mia figlia e due bebè" (Eugenio Cappuccio, 2016).
He has also worked in Theatre: "Smiley" (Guillem Clua) R.Sparno, "Patroclo and Achille" (Fabio Casano) G. Maresca, "La testa sott'acqua" (Helena Tornero) R .Ciccarelli and "La Paranza dei Bambini" (R.Saviano) M. Gelardi, and thanks to the latter - he received in 2017 the Nuovo Imaie Award at the Spoleto Festival for best emerging actor.
In 2018 he made his debut on the big screen with the debut film by Ciro D'Emilio in which he starred alongside Anna Foglietta, "Un giorno all’improvviso", for which he won the Nuovo Imaie Award at the 75th Venice Film Festival as best emerging actor. For the same title, in 2019 he received both the Biraghi Award for Silver Ribbons, and the Best Actor Award at the Bimbi Belli festival curated by Nanni Moretti.
In 2019 he took part in the successful Rai series "Vivi e lascia vivere" directed by Pappi Corsicato alongside Elena Sofia Ricci.
He has just wrapped filmin for the fiction Mediaset "Inchiostro contro piombo".
