“ARIA” SHORT DIRECTOR BRANDO DE SICA REVEALS MASTERCLASSERS: “YOU’VE ALWAYS BEEN MY IDEAL AUDIENCE”

“Dedicated to those seeking inspiration to win over asthma”: that’s what you can read at the end of Aria, new short by talented director Brando De Sica.

“The idea behind this short was born from my educational will, in the effort to give hope back to the huge number of people affected by this disease”, explained the film director. For this work specifically, he has voluntarily given up on dialogues to point straight to sounds and lights.

“The sad dancers – said De Sica – are the undisputed protagonists, led by talented Demetra Bellina for her outstanding expressiveness. We usually rely on words to unveil hidden emotions but, on this occasion, I achieved the result through her movements and gazes. It might seem an unconventional choice, but I took this decision relying on kids and teenagers’ incredible sensitiveness. And I will always keep turning to their sensitiveness”, concluded the film director.
