ANNA VALLE AT GIFFONI 2018: “I DON’T PLAN MY FUTURE, BUT ANY DIFFICULTY WILL BE AN OPPORTUNITY”

Anna Valle presented “L’età imperfetta”, the new project she has incredibly close to her heart, to Giffoni Film Festival jurors. The film is produced and played in team with her husband Ulisse Lendaro, who debuted as film director. Set in the ballet world, the plot features protagonists Sara and Camilla, two friends who eventually become antagonists when an audition plays them against one another. The film is also the result of the actress’ wish to talk about adolescence, a moment of life she particularly cares of.

“I look back on that period quite often – said the actress – because I still find it close to me. I’ve experienced Camilla’s weaknesses and Sara’s fake self-confidence by living in teenagers’ black and white world, where they live without noticing any shade and showing a kind of happiness they don’t even feel. When I was their age, everything seemed possible to me and I kept seeing open doors on my path. It’s still like this today, because I don’t take stock and I don’t plan the next twenty years. I like considering difficulties as potential opportunities and all the times I’ve been told ‘no’ at castings have somehow pushed me forward”.

Former Miss Italia has also just finished to shoot Ivan Cotroneo’s new fiction, “La compagnia del cigno”, in which she plays the role of a piano teacher disappointed by life. “After experiencing a tragedy, she gives up on everything including her great love Luca (Alessio Boni) to whom she eventually gets close again. Once again – concluded with a smile the actress – Ivan demonstrates his great ability to hold your hand and take you on a dreamlike journey”.
