FILMS IN COMPETITION ON JULY 22

Romance, family tragedies, fantasy and hurting Judgment are the main themes of the films in competition today.

Screenings start at 10:00 in Sala Truffaut with NIGHT COMES ON (USA, 2018), a feature by Jordana Spiro dedicated to Generator +16 jurors, which focuses on Angel LaMere’s troubled adolescence. At 10.15 in Sala Sordi is the turn of ZOOKS (Belgium, 2018) by Kristoff and Dimitri Leue, for Elements+10 children: an exciting animated movie following the adventures of Robin, Wolf and the Bad King, in a journey of nature discovery crowded with twists.

At the same time (10.15) in Sala Lumière, Generator +18 youth are called to express their critical judgment on SOME FREAKS (USA, 2017) by Ian MacAllister McDonald. The feature, which is Ian Macallister McDonald’s directorial debut, revolves around Matt and Jilles’ love story, midway between embarrassment and marginalization.

At 15.00 in Sala Galileo is on schedule IMPOSED PIECE (Belgium, 2017) by Brecht Vanhoenacker: a cinematographic chronicle of the most prestigious violin’s competition: the Queen Elisabeth. Last but not least is MEERKAT MOONSHIP (South Africa, 2017) by Hanneke Schutte, focused on Gideonette and her family curse, on schedule at 15.00 in Sala Truffaut for Generator+13 section.
